Massage
CMCC offers several different massage, bodywork, and energy work therapies. These therapies enable relaxation and improve energy levels. By increasing blood circulation and improving lymph drainage, massage enables the body to receive more nourishment and improve its functioning.
Swedish massage is a therapeutic approach to healing. It works primarily to induce general relaxation, which aids recovery from stress while enhancing and improving range of movement.
Shiatsu (acupressure) is an Oriental healing method in which a practitioner applies pressure to specified points on the body. It is based on the theory that disease and discomfort are caused by a disturbance or disharmony of the flow of Qi . Shiatsu aims to restore energetic balance to the body, mind, and spirit, enabling the client to utilize her own powers of self-healing most effectively.
Reiki is an energetic healing practice that utilizes hands-on touch and focused visualization. It aims to balance and amplify energy on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual planes. The practitioner acts as a channel for accessing the universal life force energy, which balances and amplifies an individual's energy for self-healing.
Craniosacral therapy is a hands-on approach to healing that applies gentle non-invasive pressure aimed at restoring harmony by balancing the craniosacral system. It is used to alleviate pain and stress.
The Rosen Method is a healing approach that uses gentle touch and verbal support to help a client relax and surrender conscious holding. It aims to foster self-transformation by using gentle touch and verbal support to unlock old memories, chronic muscle tension, and hold patterns which may cause pain.
Ortho-Bionomy stimulates the body’s self-correcting and self-balancing reflexes by way of proprioceptive nerves located in our joints and muscles. These nerves are stimulated into releases by compression. Guided by the hand of a skilled practitioner, the body is moved into comfortable positions where pain and tension melt away and are replaced with a profound sense of relaxation.
