“Charlotte Maxwell has compassion that is felt – and the women-centered environment feels healing, and right.”

CLINICAL SERVICES
We are excited to see so many wonderful volunteers and clients in the clinic regularly!
Our in-person and telehealth services are continuing to expand! Lisa Hartfield, our volunteer and community engagement manager, has brought an influx of new volunteers to Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, who are now providing clients with nutrition consultations, life coaching, yoga instruction, western herbs, CMC front desk support, massage, acupuncture, and more.
We currently offer in-person individual appointments, individual telehealth, group Zoom wellness classes, and workshops. Charlotte Maxwell will continue to provide a combination of in-person and online services.
Our clients always have access to fresh organic vegetables in the clinic from Full Belly Farm, with recipes available. One of CMCs industrious volunteers, Nancy Chang, makes healthy soup available for clients, which many have commented helps keep them well nourished in an easy and convenient way. She was highlighted in the SF Chronicle for her work. You can read the article here, and see her delivering her soups to the clinic.
CLINIC SAFETY
COVID-19 safety is still of utmost importance to us. A good quality mask is required in the clinic at all times, and all staff and volunteers are vaccinated and boosted.
Our strict cleaning and ventilation/air filtration protocols that we instituted last fall are still in effect. We use health screening with all staff, volunteers, and clients, and are prepared to administer rapid antigen tests as indicated. We have added questions to screen for Monkeypox as well, in an effort to keep all our clients and volunteers safe. For most in-person appointments, we require that clients have their COVID vaccine and boosters.
COMMUNITY
Many of Charlotte Maxwell Clinic’s partnerships are thriving this fall! Acupuncture Interns from Berkeley’s Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College have begun providing community acupuncture sessions for CMC clients, and the program is a wonderful collaboration that allows many more clients to receive the healing benefits of acupuncture! Another fall program is an Occupational and Physical Therapy class put on by Samuel Merritt University, to aid in fall prevention and recovery. Several CMC clients received healing massages from McKinnon Body Therapy Center students last May, and we are thrilled to partner with them again in November.
