The Charlotte Maxwell Clinic has provided compassionate integrative care free of charge to thousands of low-income women with cancer in the San Francisco Bay Area. They are immigrant and underserved women. Most of CMC’s funding directly supports client and volunteer programs. Our women:
- Are frequently diagnosed in late stages of cancer
- Live below the federal poverty level
- Are women of color
- May not speak English
- Are 50 and older
2021 was a milestone year and a pivotal one for CMC. Against the backdrop of the pandemic, our outreach and service to community members expanded in empowering ways and we celebrated CMC’s 30th anniversary in a virtual event. Read more here.
