Since March 2020, the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic has been closed for our in-person work with clients. However, we have continued to serve our community via Zoom Wellness classes and one-on-one telehealth appointments. We have delivered homeopathic medicines and herbal formulas to help our clients manage the side effects of their cancer treatments, and groceries to those in our CMC community who are the most food insecure.
And, we make phone calls – hundreds of them – to check in with our clients and let them know we care – that we are still here and that they are not alone.
We will continue these services and more upon reopening on Oct. 1, 2021, as our volunteers return, and we recruit and train new ones.
Of utmost importance is the safety of our CMC staff, volunteers and clients. To that end, we require all staff, volunteers and clients to show proof of vaccination and wear masks while in the clinic. We have developed cleaning protocols and contact tracing plans, and trained staff and returning volunteers. We have revamped furnishings and supplies. The windows will be open and air filters will be on during shifts to promote safe air flow. Also, treatment sessions will be slightly shorter to allow for more time to clean between clients.
We are so excited to return, and joyfully look forward to seeing the beautiful faces of our clients and volunteers in person again!
Thank you for your patience and support. Your donations not only help us meet the needs of our clients, they lift our spirits and let us know you are with us in support of this much-needed work!
