Barbara Schussman
“I’m excited to contribute to the success of the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic. Having lost my mom to cancer, and having undergone treatment myself, I understand the tremendous value of community and compassionate care.”
Barbara Schussman is a retired partner and continues to practice law in an Of Counsel role at Perkins Coie LLP in San Francisco. She helps her clients navigate complex environmental and land use permitting requirements for large-scale infrastructure projects including hospital and research facilities, and defends those permits in litigation. She also served as a member of her firm’s nationwide executive and management committees, overseeing firm strategy and operations. She has a B.A. from UCLA and a law degree from UC Berkeley.
In her free time, Barbara enjoys quilting, playing board games, traveling, attending Golden State Valkyries games, and spending time with her husband, two adult daughters, and rescue dog, Jenny.
