Leone Patterson is currently the CBO/CFO of Zymeworks, a clinical-stage public biotechnology company developing a diverse pipeline of novel, multifunctional biotherapeutics to improve the standard of care for difficult-to-treat diseases, including cancer, inflammation, and autoimmune disease. Leone is also a Board member of Nkarta, a public cell therapy company pursuing solutions for autoimmune diseases.

Leone brings more than 20 years of public company biotech experience with a proven track record of guiding strategy, finance, operations, and governance through multiple phases of growth, planning and executing successful financial strategies.

Leone was born and raised in New Zealand, having moved to California originally on a basketball scholarship. She still considers New Zealand home with a deep  connection to her Maori culture, a community-based tribal approach.
