Nishanga Bliss is the Lymphedema Education Program Coordinator at CMC. She is a holistic physician and educator who believes that personal and planetary health are interdependent. She got her start in healthcare during the AIDS crisis and has a passion for bringing integrative care to underserved communities. She has been in private practice in the East Bay for over 25 years. She has a doctoral degree in Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine from AIMC Berkeley and a doctorate in Holistic Nutrition from Hawthorn University.
A former chef, Nishanga loves kitchen medicine and practicing the ancient healing art of fermentation. She is a fiber artist and enjoys spinning her own yarn, dyeing it with natural dyes and creating with macrame, weaving, knitting, and crochet.
