Volunteering at CMC has made the importance of community and equity ever more clear to me.  I have been deeply touched by the grace and quiet strength of our clients and the compassion and loving kindness of the staff and all who serve. 

Yvonne is a Bay Area native, growing up in San Francisco’s Chinatown. She has been the President of Mayway Herbs since 1997 and has worked in her family’s Chinese herb business since childhood. She currently serves on the boards of a few professional organizations: the Chinese Herb Trade Association of America, the American Research Institute of Chinese Medicine, and the Coalition for Wildlife Protection in TCM.  She also held active board positions in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) throughout the educational journeys of her two sons.

Yvonne is very excited to join CMC’s board this year, and looks forward to contributing to furthering CMC’s mission and goals!

In her downtime, Yvonne enjoys cooking, nature, reading, and organizing friends for music and dancing.  She is currently doing her best to learn the acoustic guitar.
