CLINICAL SERVICES
We are open and expanding our offerings as we grow! We hired new staff members and reconnected with many clients and volunteers to get back to what we love: Providing holistic and integrative care for underserved women with cancer.
We currently offer in-person individual and group acupuncture appointments, individual telehealth, group Zoom wellness classes, and workshops. A combination of in-person services and online offerings will be our way forward into the future.
We have replenished our herbal pharmacy and are offering consultations and dispensing to our clients both Western and Chinese herbal medicine, as well as homeopathy. Our clients also have access to fresh organic vegetables from Full Belly Farm, with recipes available.
PANDEMIC
COVID-19 safety is still of utmost importance to us. A good quality mask is required in the clinic at all times, and all staff and volunteers are vaccinated and boosted.
Our strict cleaning and ventilation/air filtration protocols that we instituted last fall are still in effect. We use health screening with all staff, volunteers, and clients, and are prepared to administer rapid antigen tests as indicated. For most in-person appointments, we require that clients have their COVID vaccine and boosters.
UN-VACCINATED? NO BOOSTER? NO RIDE? NO PROBLEM!
We realize that a number of clients are not able to get our care due to our policies, so we have expanded to offer under-vaccinated and un-boosted clients in-person treatments on designated days. A rapid antigen test is administered to all staff, volunteers, and clients on these days, and it has been a resounding success!
For those who are not able to physically get to the clinic, CMCs group wellness classes continue to offer ongoing care. Folks can connect and benefit from exercise, qi gong, and reiki group sessions on Zoom. Our lovely volunteers have also offered fantastic Zoom one-time workshops, such as Kitchen Conversations, Guided Meditation, and Western Herbology, with more to come!
COMMUNITY
We are actively connecting with our community partners to help our clients get the care they deserve. We established connections with Samuel Merritt University Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy programs, and re-established our connection with the McKinnon Body Therapy Center. This Fall, Berkeley’s Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College Master’s degree students will return to offer even more community acupuncture opportunities for our clients.
